Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Sudirman Said said PT Pertamina (tbk) has been advised to postpone the public and special fuel price increase.

"According to our instruction, the government. We want to clearly separate the subsidized and non-subsidized fuel," Sudirman conveyed during a press conference at the ESDM Ministry, Medan Merdeka Selaran, Jakarta, Friday (5/15/2015).

In his opinion, in previous times the announcement for both subsidized and Unsubsidized fuel were mostly mixed. For the announcement distributed earlier, he said it is postponed until further notice instead of being cancelled, as the right pattern of announcement is created.

Moreover, he conveyed that if the price change is so frequent, it will give lots of trouble in the field practice. "The change is troublesome for practice," he said.

He explained that the government and Pertamina are formulating the perfect pattern for the mechanism of the announcement, so it would not cause significant impact to the society.

On the evening of May 14, 2015, PT Pertamina through its VP Corporate Communication, Wianda Pusponegoro stated the postponement of the fuel increase on the eleventh hour, despite the previous written announcement stating the price is to increase on May 15, 2015, after midnight.

As for the fuel price planned to be increased was as follows:

Pertamax: Rp9,600 per litre
Pertamax Plus: Rp10,550 per litre
Pertamax Dex: 12,200 per litre
Premium: Rp7.400
Diesel (economic biodiesel): Rp9,200 per litre. (Eps)
