Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Indonesian Chief of Police Badrodin Haiti guarantees the safety of Rohingya refugees currently in Indonesia, whereas they will be settled temporary for a year.
"Of course we will guarantee their security," Badrodin said in the Attorney General's Office (AGO), South Jakarta, Thursday (5/21/2015).

Nevertheless, the four-star general hopes that there will be solutions for the refugees. "Hopefully there is a solution, but while they are here, we surely guarantee their safety," he affirmed.
In accord with the Chief of Police, the Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law and Security Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno said the refugees are to be well taken care of.
"We did not invite them in. But those who are already here will be well taken care of, by humanitarian means," Tedjo said.

Tedjo affirmed that the refugees accepted in Indonesia should be coordinated well to prevent social problems within the community.

Therefore, the refugees are to be handled by the central government, UNHCR and IOM. IOM has been acknowledged to fund the refugees for an entire year.
