Jokowi Needs to Achieve Economic Target

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Head of Financial Policy Agency of the Ministry of Finance Suahasil Nazara explained that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) needs to achieve several macroeconomics target, one of the is a budget deficit as much as 1.9 percent.
 
Aside from that, Suahasil mentioned there are some other economic targets to be achieved by President Jokowi. It has become crucial to support Indonesia's economy in developing maximally and achieving equal welfare.
 
The targets mentioned by Suahasil, among others are: Firstly, President Jokowi is expected to press government debts under 25 percent of the 2015 GDP. Suahasil believed it may be achieved based on the nation's participating in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
 
"I went to OECD, and our deficit was told at 1.9 percent, government bond 24.7 percent. Well, they said if our government is able to do this, our current government leader (Jokowi) may be selected again as president," Suahasil said at the Ministry of Finance Office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (6/18/2015).
 
Secondly, President Jokowi is expected to achieve economic growth of five percent out of the GDP. Thirdly, the President is also expected to maintain controlled inflation level at 4 to 4.5 percent.
 
"The country grows at around 4.7 percent or five percent, and then the inflation at 4 to 4.5 percent. If it is like this, (Jokowi) will be selected again as president," he said. (EPS)
