Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The government provided Rp10 million aid for each household to former East Timor Indonesians residing beyond the East Nusa Tenggara Province. In total, there are 20,266 households listed.

"In this Limited Meeting, it is agreed that the amount of aid is Rp10 million per household. Currently, valid data recorded 20.266 households," said the Member of the Presidential Communication Team Teten Masduki in Jakarta, Thursday (6/17/2015).

The establishment of aid recipient parameter referred to the Presidential Decree No. 25 Year 2003 and the Presidential Regulation No. 72 Year 2011. The President, Teten explained, had instructed related ministers to prepare legal basis for the distribution of the compensation aid.

"There should be no cutbacks or abuse in the process of aid distribution. Therefore, the aid should be given directly to the rightful recipient, not through third party," Teten concluded. (EPS)
