Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Head of Indonesian Air Force Information Office Air Marshal Dwi Badarmanto said the soldiers passed away in conducting their duties are to be recommended to earn rank promotions.

"The (military) office is thinking about this. Whether they should be promoted one rank above or else, regulations have to be fulfilled. There is a big possibility (of rank promotions), but the percentage will be considered," Dwi stated at Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase, East Jakarta, Friday (6/3/2015).

The Air Force has previously prepared insurance and compensation for the soldiers killed in the Hercules A1310 crash incident in Medan, North Sumatra. Insurance and benefits were also given to the civil servants joining the flight carrying 122 passengers.

"At the moment, the Air Force has also prepared insurance and compensation for the soldiers and civil servants of the Air Force who were victims of Hercules C-130 crash," Dwi stated, Wednesday, June 1.

Based on the regulation written in the cooperation agreement between the Air Force and Bumi Putra Life Insurance (AJBP) 1912 No. Perjama/22/XI/2014, there are compensation of death insurance for the crews of Air Force planes, Air Force personnel and the Students of First Education in the Air Force killed on duty.
