Health Social Security Gains Extra Fund of Rp3.46 Trillion

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Social Security Agency (BPJS) of Health Services was given additional capital of Rp3.46 trillion by the government. The addition of capital was based on the consideration of maintaining the continuity of the health social security program conducted by Health BPJS.

"The government sees it necessary to provide an additional capital of the Republic of Indonesia into the capital of Health Social Security Services," as quoted from the webpage of Indonesian Secretary of the Cabinet, Thursday (7/16/2015).

Based on the idea, on July 2, 2015, President Joko Widodo signed the Government Regulation No. 48 Year 2015 on the Additional Capital Fund of the Republic of Indonesia into the Capital Fund of Health Social Security Services.

"The value of capital addition as mentioned is as much as Rp3.46 trillion," as stated in Article 2 Paragraph (2) of the Government Regulation.

The addition of capital fund mentioned above is from the 2015 State Budget (APBN), utilized to fund the operational expenses of Health BPJS services in 2015.

"The Government Regulation applied since the date it was enacted," mentioned Article 3 of the Government Regulation, as enacted by the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly on July 2, 2015. (EPS)
