Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo condemned the bomb attack which shook the outer area of Erawan Shrine, Bangkok, Thailand, Monday evening.

Jokowi delivered the condemnation through his official Twitter account, @jokowi. He also conveyed his condolences for the family of the victims.

According to him, terrorism act is the archenemy of humanity. Therefore, the former Jakarta Governor urged all parties to unite in the fight against terrorism.

"My condolences for the bomb victims in Thailand. Terrorism is the archenemy of humanity. We have to fight! -JKW," as tweeted by Jokowi, Wednesday (8/19/2015).

As known, a huge bomb explosion shook the outer ring of Erawan Shrine, Bangkok, Thailand, Monday evening. The incident killed at least 22 people and injured 123 others.

The blast area, located at the main intersection with an array of five star hotels and luxurious malls, was sealed since dawn. No parties have claimed to be responsible for the explosion.

"I heard loud voice as it shook the building hard. I ran out ladies to see what happened," said Panupan Chansing, 20, an employee of Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel to AFP, early Tuesday morning (8/18/2015).

"I saw many dead bodies on the street as I have seen several vehicles set on fire. I felt really sad. Why does this happen to Thai people. I am afraid," he continued.

An Indonesian citizen was killed in the Bangkok explosion, known to be Lioe Lie Tjing, the wife of other Indonesian, Hermawan Indradjaja. Both were having a vacation at the White Elephant country. Hermawan suffered from heavy injuries and still undergoing treatments at Huan Chiew Hospital.
