Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Transportation and Transmigration Agency of Jakarta deplored Go-Jek for opening a massive recruitment drivers position, while the application based company still does not have any legal basis.

"They (Go-Jek) should conduct a study first so the Law No. 22 Year 2009 on Traffic and Public Transportation may be revised. Don't just do recruitments. Are they challenging us?" said the Head of the agency Andri Yansyah at the City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (8/18/2015).
He affirmed that his party, along with the police, Jakarta Public Transportation Organization and the Board of Jakarta Transportation have agreed that the operation of Go-Jek and other application based transportation should refer to the regulations.
As known, the recruitment held by Go-Jek invited thousands of people to come to Senayan, Jakarta. The reason of why the mass transportation company opened the recruitment in Senayan is due to the overwhelming applicants coming to the Go-Jek office.
The recruitment was opened from August 11 to August 25, 2015. Most applicants processed were those who have submitted their personal data and documents. Every day, during the recruitment period, there are around 4,000 applicants received by the recruitment team for document verification and attribute distribution.
