Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The strengthening of US Dollar has affected various currencies in the world, including Ruble.

The Russian currency hit 65 Ruble per USD in mid August, which was the lowest level since last February. The value even reached 70 Ruble per USD today, Wednesday (8/26/2015).

Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Mikhail Galuzin said the weakening Ruble is not something too worrying.

"It is not a disaster. Russian economy is strong enough," said Ambassador Galuzin in his residence in Kuningan Area, South Jakarta.

Galuzin even mentioned the economic trend in Russia is positivity in the middle of the worsening global economy. Russia still has various leading sectors, including military technology.

"Russia is one of the countries with the foremost military technology in the world," said the ambassador.

Aside from the military, Russia has also contacted the agriculture sector. "The development of Russian agriculture have risen significantly. We have no longer imported products from the European Union and the United States of America," concluded Ambassador Galuzin.
