IMF Boss to Meet Finance Minister Today
Bos IMF Christine Lagarde. (Foto: AFP / MANDEL NGAN), Jakarta: The Managing Director International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde is visiting Indonesia with an agenda of meeting government officials to becoming a speaker of a seminar.

"At noon, there would be a public lecture in Salemba UI, at 14.00-16.00 local time (WIB). There was no information about the morning schedule," said the Indonesian IMF staff Chini Rahmanto, when contacted by, Tuesday (9/1/2015).

Lagarde and the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Agus DW Martowardojo is to open the conference. Participants include the senior public policy officials, academicians, representatives of several sectors, CSO and journalists.

Afterwards, Lagarde was scheduled to meet President Joko Widodo at 16.30 WIB in the State Palace, Jakarta. Lagarde was also planned to meet with Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro and Coordinating Minister of Economy Darmin Nasution.

Another schedule for Lagarde was the launching of a book titled "The Future of Asia's Finance", which concluded the analysis and policy recommendation made by IMF.

On the following day, Wednesday, September 2, 2015, Lagarde is to attend a limited seminar along with Finance Minister Bambang, Agus Marto, as well as several IMF parties.

Following the meeting, Lagarde is scheduled to conduct a press conference in Grand Hyatt, Jakarta, at around 14.15 WIB.
