Commission VII DPR Agrees ICP at US$50 per Barel
Photo: Reuters, Jakarta: Commission VII of the People's Representative Council decided the macro assumption for Indonesia Crude Price (ICP) on the 2016 State Budget is at US$50 per barrel.

The government, through Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Sudirman Said, stated that they have communicated with available resources to inquire the prediction of 2016 ICP.

"Prof. Maizar Rahman, the team's expert, predicted US$50 to US$60 per barrel. Pri Agung Rakhmanto, Executive Director of Reforminer Institute predicted US$40 to US$50 per barrel. Ari Hartawan, Head of the Economic Research Group of Bank Indonesia predicted US$50 to US$60 per barrel," said Sudirman in a work meeting with the commission, at the Parliamentary Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (9/17/2015).

From the prediction, Sudirman agreed the ranger of US$50 to US$60 per barrel. However, observing the global economy condition, the government proposed the macro assumption of 2016 ICP is as much as US$50 per barrel.

"We proposed the price of US$50 per barrel based on the current condition," said Sudirman.

All members of the Commission VII from the fractions of PDIP, Golkar, Gerindra, Demokrat, PAN, PKB, PKS, PPP, Nasdem and Hanura proposed the ICP price at US$50 per barrel.

After it was decided, the Chairman of Commission VII of DPR, Kadaya Warnika finalized the proposition of the macro assumption of ICP in 2016 at US$50 per barrel.

"Well, it is decided that the world oil price is at US$50 per barrel," concluded Kardaya.
