Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Information on Indonesian hajj pilgrims' who became victims of a stampede in Mina is still uncertain. Amir Hajj should check the number of pilgrims to confirm the information.

"There are lots of reports that some victims were carried to the tent by their relatives. And there was a possibility to be transported elsewhere by Saudi officials," said the member of Hajj Supervisory Committee of the Commission VIII of the People's Representative Council, Maman Imanul Haq, Friday (9/25/2015).

Amir Hajj, in this case the Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, should release a directive to the head of teams, head of groups, head of rotation to check the number of members. The results could be used as the comparative data against Saudi's.

"The official reports should be made on how many pilgrims were killed and became the victims of the Mina tragedy," he said.

The Hajj Committee has tried to check the number of Indonesian pilgrims at around 20.00 to 02.15 Saudi Arabian time. The team also spoke to several witnesses and people who had almost become victims.

The committee also heard the opinions of other countries' head of groups, especially those with the most victims such as Iran, Turkey and Egypt.

Maman asked the public to follow the information published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and PPIH. "Keep praying for the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to be healthy, well and may return to the motherland in becoming a hajj," he concluded.
