Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Government has published the first stage of economic policy package to give stimulus to the national economy in the midst of the slowdown. As many as 134 regulations are to be deregulated as considered as obstacles.

Economic observer from the Institute of Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) Enny Sri Hartati mentioned that the number of deregulated rules shows the government is not focused on resolving the economic slowdown. The government should first provided stimulus to four crucial sectors capable of supporting local economy.

"What was wanted by the government involvement, if we relate it to the stimulus, means what is awaited for the stimulus are in these sectors: maritime, import substitution, downstream and export orientations," said Enny in an investment dialog with the theme of Deregulation Effect towards Investments, at the Office of Investment Coordinating Board, Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto No 44, South Jakarta, Friday (9/25/2015).

She thinks it is impossible that the government may resolve all the problems of economic slowdown. The four crucial matters should be resolved by the government to boost the economic stimulus in a short time.

"I think when the government is not focus, the government misunderstood the crucial problems being faced, as when the government stated the abundant Negative Investment List (DNI), as there were only some in need of partnership requirements with the Micro, Small and Medium Businesses," she elaborated.

She explained that the four sector may provide stimulus to the local economy. "The four sectors are fast paced industry. Aside from that, it can also boost investors into Indonesia," Enny concluded.
