Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Management of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) urged PT Pertamina (Persero) to adjust the Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) or avtur.

Director of Garuda Indonesia, M. Arif Wibowo said that even though ATF price has experienced a decline, Indonesia is still importing the fuel, as an adjustment of local ATF price should be conducted.

"ATF was basically declined, as the price went down this year. However, we are the net importer for ATF, as the fuel price in Indonesia still needs readjustments," Arif said when met at Garuda Travel Fair, in Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Friday (9/25/2015).

Arif admitted that he had established a synergy with Pertamina in ATF purchase, whereas even though the price soared as said by Transportation Minister Ignasius Jonan, the company still bought it from Pertamina.

"We can't (buy elsewhere). As currently only Pertamina, so we did a synergy," he concluded.

So far, Arif added that Garuda's ATF is purchased from Pertamina using rupiah, but it follows the dollar currency.
