Jepang Provides Chemical Substance to Battle Haze
Several foreign assistance in dealing with the haze (Photo: AFP), Jakarta: Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, Arrmanatha Nasir explained several foreign assistance in dealing with the haze.

"Currently there are an aircraft from Malaysia, helicopter from Singapore and aircrafts from Australia with the capacity of 15,000 liters of water," said Arrmanatha at the Foreign Ministry's Office, Thursday (10/15/2015).

"Aside from that, Japan is to give assistance in the form of chemical substance able to put out the fire," he continued.

According to the man usually called as Tata, the plan is that the aid will arrive on Friday (10/16/2015) in Indonesia. The aid will be forwarded to National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), which is the vocal point of the fire-extinguishing activities.

Meanwhile, help from Russia and China continues to be discussed. "In the context of Russia, we are still waiting the type of aid given, rent in nature. With China, we continually discuss the form of assistance they may provide," he affirmed.

Arrmanatha added that to the needs, according to BNPB, is among others an aircraft with the loading capacity of 1 ton of water. If it is lower than that, it will take lots of aircrafts which may interrupt the air-space. So, what is needed is huge planes.
